Roamfree
Collaboration
I worked with Imminently CEO and CTO to realise RoamFree vision, an e-visa multiplatform service that simplifies the challenging process of obtaining a visa and working abroad.
In addition to creating the entire desktop and app experience and defining its look and feel, I developed a series of artifacts that helped Imminently's founders find investors and attract early adopters. Among these artifacts, I designed an investor prospectus, marketing assets, and the RoamFree homepage.

Look and feel definition
By conducting benchmarking and defining RoamFree's mission, values, and target audience, I obtained sufficient knowledge to decide on its UI design and visual identity. This ensured that the brand communicated the desired perception to stakeholders: friendly, minimal, transparent, and trustworthy.
✨ Professional and trustworthy, the tone conveys professionalism and trustworthiness by using clear and concise language.
✨ Welcoming while providing clear instructions and guidance, information presented in a user-friendly format, such as FAQs.
✨ Responsive and supportive. Encouraging responsiveness and supportiveness with other users and experts.
The explore feature has been created to help visualize quickly available visas around the world but also eligible countries.
Advanced filters tailored to users' personal and professional circumstances, alongside interactive maps and a guided eligibility checker, offer users thorough insights into various countries.
An eligibilty test allows user to find out by answering a short questionnaire which countries they can apply to right away.
The designs were crafted with flexibility and discoverability as key considerations.
My primary aim was to enable users to effortlessly navigate and compare available Visas based on their individual circumstances, but empower them with the freedom to explore, ensuring that eligibility criteria serve as today's guideline and tomorrow's aspiration when necessary.
Migration Opportunities and Community Connections
A blog has been established to keep users informed about the current status and advantages of applying to particular countries. This adds an additional layer of support and fosters a sense of community, complementing other motivations for users to consider migrating beyond just eligibility.
Process
A streamlined Visa application flow
During the creation of Roamfree’s visa application system, card sorting exercises were conducted to streamline the complex visa process. The screen flow captures key IA decisions, such as making sign-up optional during onboarding to reduce drop-offs, using an interactive map to simplify visa exploration, and implementing a multi-step progress tracker to guide users through applications. Testing validated improvements like grouping form fields for better usability, restructuring FAQs for clarity, and adding progress indicators and notifications to enhance transparency post-submission. These changes are reflected visually, showing a clear and thoughtful structure designed to improve user satisfaction and engagement.
